First Group Ride With My Duc

My riding buddies are excited to see my new bike so I took her out for a group ride and show it off a little We met at *bucks and head to San Felipe / Metcalf. As usual, we had our bike talk at the bottom of Metcalf just before the 101 overpass. Our rides do not end with empty stomach and the pick of the night is Macaroni Grill.

Tight Leather Suit

We went for another group ride this afternoon on full leather suits. One of my buddies just bought a new one and had to break it in before our upcoming track days. The problem is, the last time I used mine was about 2 years ago and I’ve gotten much bigger after that. The leather still fits but I almost can’t zip it up… lol. Leather is supposed to stretch but I don’t want my extra baggages to bulge And plus, It seems like my torso has gotten longer too. The crotch area is too tight and it feels like my shoulders are being pulled down. Two options, loose weight or shell out at least a bill for a new leather suit. Well, actually the third option is sell my suit and buy a new one. It’s up on Craigslist right now if you’re interested SOLD!!!

So anyway, we rode up to our favorite local track, Hwy 9 to Boulder Creek then back. Glenn had to go home so Donn and I went for our favorite rocky road ice cream at Marianne’s, the best ice cream shop in Santa Cruz. I haven’t ridden my bike on Hwy 17 for years and boy was it fun. I wish one day, they’d shut it down and use it for a race track, hehe.

I’m Getting Addicted To Group Rides Again

Well, yet another gorgeous day. Same friends I rode with yesterday hit up the road again. I was supposed to baby sit because my wife had to go to work. But she took four hours off for me. I love my wife! Anyway, another guy on a Ducati 748 joined us too, so there were four of us. It was a short ride in San Felipe Rd (my backyard, hehe) down to Metcalf. Donn, with the 999R liked the San Felipe baby twisties so we rode back. Coming down to Metcalf, we were just chillin but on our way back, we got to play a little bit. Donn decided to take the Silver Creek Rd to 101. I was following him when he got too hot coming down the hill and literally left me in the dust. Can’t match the power of a literbike with my 636 Oh did I already mention it was a 999R!!! After that, we went to Chilli’s in Santa Row to hangout and meet another rider.
