I was caught by surprise when I realized that the show had its final ending today. And this is not just the season ending, but the show aired its last and final episode. At first, I didn’t believe that they were finally freed and most of all, Michael Scoffield died. That’s when I turned to my laptop and started googling. It was sort of a good ending for people like me who hasn’t heard about the cancellation of the show but I thought the finale was kind of weak. I am expecting more than that.

Anyway, I guess it’s time to say goodbye to my.. or our (and my wife)  favorite show. We’ve been following the series and never missed any episodes in the last four years ever since the Pilot episode. I hope something as good or better shows up when the summer break is over. Bye Prison Break… {applauding}

Too much Heroes in my head :) Alright, so I did a 7 day marathon and just finished watching the three seasons of Heroes. Thanks to Netflix on Tivo, I was able to watch all of them in one week. I don’t know why it took me so long to watch this awesome tv series. I thought Lost and Prison Break were the best shows on tv but Heroes completely left them in the dust. So how many episodes did I watch?

Season 1 – 23 episodes
Season 2 – 11 episodes
Season 3 – 13 episodes

That’s a a total of 47 episodes and an average of 43 minutes per show without commercials. So I spent a total of 2021 minutes or 33 hours and 41 minutes couch time in a week. Just imagine where my life went during those days. Now I’m a Heroes addict. Just like their powers, I can’t control it. Season 4 will not start until next month. I wish I can travel in time to see it soon, hehe.

I used to like American Idol so much but they ruined it. The judges on the show are a bunch of fakes! Everything is scripted and contestants are being skewed to display poor performances. The whole show is rigged. I don’t know why the judges like David Archuleta so much when in fact, he’s not a very good singer and performer. Just a mediocre for my taste. A month ago, I read an article where Randy was interviewed and he said something like Archuleta is his favorite and will be the next American Idol. It’s very clear that these people has already chosen the winner at that point. Week after week, the judges, specially Randy has nothing bad to say about Archuleta while on the other hand, they give negative feedback to the other contestants. Yo yo, I used to like the “dawg” but no more! Even Archuleta is a big fake. You can tell from his reaction whenever the judges has some good things to say about him or when he gets pick for the next round. C’mon, this kid is not the bomb, which is the usual comment from Randy. David Cook should be the next American Idol. He’s got the voice and sings and performs like a pro every time he gets up on the stage. You better get it right Fox or you’ll be losing voters next season. That’s my rant for the day!

Howie Mandel, who just came from Estonia, arrived in the Philippines on Tuesday, April 22 and set to do a special two-hour episode of the game show with Kris Aquino, the host of the Philippines version of “Deal or No Deal.”

The contestants, comprising of Americans and Filipinos will play for the top prize of $1,000,00 U.S. dollars. That is about P41,000,00 pesos in the current exchange rate. Before the show, Howie will first visit tourist spots to experience some local flavors. He should try “balot” while he’s there :D

The show is scheduled to be aired on May.

You can view their profiles at http://www.americanidol.com/contestants/season7/. I must say that the judges did a very good job this year on choosing the top contestants. They all have the potential to be the next american idol. Everyone is talented and most of them have a good vocal range. I am predicting that this season is going to be a tough competition for everyone.

I already have my list of favorite contestants but I held my judgement ’til I heard them all perform for the first elimination round. It’s really hard to judge their performances when you only see and hear a short clip of their songs from the auditions. Singing is not just making music out of the lyrics but it is also about how you deliver the song. It’s a whole package.

I have nothing against her but there are other contestants who deserve to be in her position. Like what Simon always say, “it’s a singing competition, honey.” I bet you most of her votes were from guys. Ok admit, I only voted for her once when my wife wasn’t home.. lol!

Six episodes for Season 3 has already aired last year and ended on November 8. Starting tonight, sixteen more episodes will be shown. Tonight’s episode will be interesting because we’ll find out if Sawyer and Kate will be able to get out of the “Other’s” island and if Jack will let Ben bleed out to death. I can’t wait to watch the show.
