just picked up a couple unlocked cell phones and i love them. one omnia one hd2. love my omnia. big screen, fast processor. recorder and camera are great to watch my kids and get memories. games keep us busy and facebook is fun. very happy with our unlocked world phones. battery life is long and the gps and email help me keep in touch with my clients. much better than our old unlocked iphones. battery life is very long and the web browser keeps me in touch with the world on my long trips. not to mention the battery life is long enough to last the long bus trips so that's nice. it's a little glitchy sometimes but that's ok. got our last couple unlocked mobile phones at gsmallover.com 2 thumbs up

Thanks for the review - it was very helpful. I have been mulling over the same issue for the past couple of weeks. I am upgrading from the LG Chocolate II to a PDA and needed some objective comparisons. Yours was one of them.
I have decided to go for the Omnia instead of the Storm - The mouse is a very handy feature and I think it will aid in a smooth transition as I get accustomed to the device. Besides, photography is my hobby and the 5MP camera will come in very handy! And Wi-Fi...me likey!
Thanks!

Hey fellow rider! Id stay clear of the Storm I have had TOO many issues with it that literally in 10 minutes or so the guy from tech at verizon is calling me to replace it with my choice of phone! Im going for the omnia which I should have up front but I got caught up in the whole hoopla hype of the storm.

I had the Iphone since its retail conception was launched and aside of the original bugs they put out updates here and there to correct it as they went and I stayed with them till 2 months ago and decided to try a different carrier and service.
I have had nothing but issues constantly wih the storm they are al software related but the are really irritating adn get worse over time. The leaked OS's are good but have quirks too and some things are better and others are worse. Verizons been promising me an update since I bought it and thats why it went past 30 days as well as thereason they are letting me switch because they kept giving me final release dates on the OS at the stores. Not a good idea unless especially 3 times and NO update...

Storm: Screen locks, mute button gets pressed all the time when shoulder holding the phone, screen locks in landscape and wont rotate, programs freeze, answer keys dont answer calls making it go to VM and alot more...

Anything but the Storm at this point......

I to am curious which phone you chose, my contract ends in a few weeks and I have feverishly been researching the pros and cons of the omnia and storm. I tinkered with both in the store and am leaning towards the storm, but the opinion of someone who has actively used either one, not just tested, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Henry. I am now also considering these two phones. I would like to know which of the two phones you finally decided on, and if you are pleased with your selection. If not, may I ask why, and if you are regretting your decision?
Thanks!
